Courtney Thorne-Smith (born on the 8th of November 1997) is an American actor from America. Her most famous role is Alison Parker on Melrose Place and Georgia Thomas on Ally McBeal. She also played Cheryl in According to Jim and Lyndsey McElroy on Two and a Half Men. Thorne Smith was born in San Francisco and raised in Menlo Park (a suburb to San Francisco). Walter Smith was her father and Lora Thorne was her mother. Both were computer-based market researchers. They separated when Courtney was just seven, and she was with both parents at various stages. Jennifer, her older sister is an ad executive. She attended Menlo-Atherton High School located in Atherton, California, and graduated from Tamalpais High School, in Mill Valley, California, in the year 1985. While at high school, she played in the Ensemble Theater Company of Mill Valley. Thorne Smith made her debut film role in 1986's Lucas with Winona Ryder and Corey Haim. In the mid-80s, she was also in a number of films, including Welcome to 18 (1986), Revenge of the Nerds II (Nerds in Paradise) (1987), Summer School (1987) and Side Out(90). In 1998, she appeared in the box-office flop Chairman of the Board with Carrot Top. She also appeared in Sorority Wars in 2009. In the early 1990s, Thorne-Smith had a relationship with Andrew Shue, her on-screen lover from Melrose Place. The actress married geneticist Andrew Conrad in June 2000. They split in 2001. On January 1 in 2007, she wed Roger Fishman, president of the marketing firm called the Zizo Group and author of the book What I Know. Aged 40 she gave birth on the morning of January 11, 2008, to Jacob Emerson Fishman.
