 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub - American comedian, actress and activist Born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents She began her career as a child actress shortly after immigrating to the United States. In AT&T commercials on television she played the character of Lily Adams (saleswoman) from 2013 to 2016 and then in the year 2020. Apart from her commercial appearances, she was also a regular on the Yahoo! Screen science-fiction comedy Other Space (2015). Additionally, she was regular on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016–2017). Vayntrub was originally selected to voice the character Squirrel Girls in Marvel Rising's pilot that was never aired for New Warriors in 2018, has voiced the character since. Vayntrub was Jewish born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. Her parents, who were both two years old, immigrated to America to escape antisemitism. They moved to West Hollywood. At five years of age she began to appear in Mattel Barbie commercials. This was partly due to financial struggles in her family. Vayntrub went to Beverly Hills High School briefly however she was kicked out of the school during her second year. She then obtained the GED and graduated with an Associate of Arts degree in Communication at the University of California, San Diego. She was a part of the Upright Citizens Brigade, and studied the art of improv comedy.
